Letter from Young Kim
Dear Friends,
It is my pleasure to welcome guests to the Ethio-American Generational Bridge’s Ethio-American Day Celebration. I would like to especially recognize President Bekele Demissie for his leadership with EAGB and all the volunteers for their hard work in making today’s celebration possible.
Ethio-American Generational Bridge began with the purpose of serving our Ethiopian American community here in Orange County and throughout Southern California. EAGB has been committed to preserving the rich heritage of the Ethiopian American community and providing crucial resources to ensure everyone can achieve the American Dream. I have no doubt in the lasting impact you have had as EAGB continues to encourage positive relationships within our local communities.
As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, I am honored to work on critical global issues as I represent you in Congress. Thank you again for your dedicated efforts supporting our communities, and best wishes for continued growth and success!
Sincerely,

Message from Michelle Steel
Dear Friends,
While I cannot join you in person this year, I am grateful to be able to put a few words on paper here to wish you a joyous and pleasant celebration.
Ethiopian Day in Orange County serves as an important event that connects, engages, and highlights resources that benefit our local Ethiopian American community. This includes preserving heritage, facilitating business-to-business relations, and underscoring education for our younger generations. California has one of the largest Ethiopian diasporas in the United States, with many Ethiopian cultural events and holidays celebrated throughout our local cities. It is wonderful to see this meaningful event being celebrated in Fullerton, which is one of the cities I represent in the 45th Congressional District.
Ethiopian Day in Orange County not only preserves heritage, but also facilitates business-to-business relations, and underscores the value of educating our younger generations. It also provides an opportunity for our local community to showcase and experience the wonderful delights of Ethiopian cuisine. Not only is it a privilege to be invited to participate in this important celebration, but it is also an honor to serve as a voice for our Ethiopian American community in the Halls of Congress.
If my office can ever be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact my district office at (714) 960-6483. Congratulations!
Sincerely,
Michelle Steel
